Google Chrome is taking an initiative to block annoying ads and up the ante of what makes a good ad to get past the block, Shaun White won gold in Pyeongchang, and Amazon is beefing up its presence in France by adding 2,000 jobs.
According to CNN, Amazon is investing in France due to its optimism in the French economy and its new President. Emmanuel Macron is proactively making it easier for foreign businesses to run operations in France. This could further strengthen the French economy as Amazon hired 1,500 jobs in the country last year.
Some are speculating this is an effort to enter the European food market, and like usual are tying it back to their Whole Foods acquisition last year. If you have some speculation, please comment below!

According to a new report from Coresight Research, Amazon and Target are in a heated battle over apparel. The report found “that shoppers who bought clothing and/or footwear on Amazon.com were most likely to have previously purchased those types of items from Target.”
